COcyber Success Stories - ENSEMBLE
Publication date: 14/05/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20177473
Technological advancements create opportunities for sophisticated cybercrimes that, through innovative tactics and techniques, pose serious security and financial risks to the EU and beyond. Combating cross-border cybercriminal activities requires a well-rounded response that goes beyond pure technology.
ENSEMBLE's primary objective is to provide exactly such a response, at the nexus of advanced AI-based technological solutions, multi-stakeholder investigation processes, training, and awareness. The project focuses on detecting and preventing ransomware, cyber fraud, data theft and extortion, [...]
COcyber Success Stories - ResilMesh
Publication date: 14/05/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20177354
From energy grids to smart factories, critical infrastructures face rising cyber threats that exploit complex, interconnected, andheterogeneous systems. Traditional security approaches often struggle to provide the situational awareness needed for effectiveresilience in these dispersed environments.
ResilMesh's primary objective is to strengthen digital resilience by developing a cutting-edge Security Orchestration and Analytics Platform Architecture (SOAPA) toolset. This platform will integrate AI-driven detection algorithms, dynamic risk assessment forecasting, and interoperable security con [...]
Slovenian case study on cybersecurity technology and information transfer
Publication date: 11/05/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20118846
Slovenia’s cybersecurity landscape is steadily evolving in response to rapid digitalisation and increasingly complex cyber threats. The country has aligned itself with key European frameworks, including NIS2 and GDPR, and benefits from active institutions such as URSIV, SI-CERT, SIGOV-CERT, and NCC-SI. At the same time, the case highlights important challenges, including fragmented coordination, insufficient funding, a shortage of skilled professionals, and the need to renew the nationalcybersecurity strategy. While the necessary structures are largely in place, the case highlights that [...]
COcyber success stories - CRACoWi
Publication date: 04/05/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20020391
The European Union's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introduces stringent new cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements throughout their entire lifecycle. For many manufacturers, distributors, and especially SMEs, navigating this new regulatory landscape is complex and resource-intensive.
CRACoWI's primary objective is to simplify and automate CRA compliance. The project is developing an innovative digital "wizard" to help businesses meet these new standards efficiently, from a product's inception to its end-of-life.
COcyber success stories - CURIUM
Publication date: 04/05/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20020214
The rise of Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Digital Twins brings significant opportunities but also increases cybersecurity risks due to greater interconnectivity. The EU's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) establishes a harmonised framework to address this, but navigating compliance can be complex and costly, especially for smaller companies.
CURIUM's primary objective is to support the implementation of the CRA by developing the Compliance Continuum, a suite of cybersecurity, focused tools and services designed to facilitate security testing, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation for ha [...]
COcyber Roundtable Sets Priorities for Civil–Defence Cybersecurity Cooperation in Europe
Publication date: 28/04/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19846639
The COcyber project, in collaboration with its partner Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), successfully hosted a High-level Dual-use and Synergy roundtable on 22 April 2026 at the Borschette Conference Centre in Brussels. The event brought together over 50 participants (42 in person and 9 online) from the cybersecurity ecosystem, including representatives from EU institutions, NATO, national authorities, academia, industry, and research organisations.
High-level discussions highlight the need for sovereign dual-use tools, trusted information exchange, and stronger links between civilia [...]
COcyber success stories - DeepHack
Publication date: 13/04/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19551325
With phishing attacks becoming more sophisticated, leveraging AI for cybersecurity defence has become essential. Traditional rule-based detection methods are no longer sufficient. Instead, AI-driven solutions that understand phishing tactics, identify deception patterns, and adapt to new threats are necessary to protect individuals and organisations.
From April 24 to 26, 2025, COcyber’s AI Cybersecurity Deephack brought together cyber enthusiasts from academia, research and the start-up scene for an intense 48-hour challenge to answer one critical question: can artificial intelligence st [...]
COcyber success stories - Hungary case study on cybersecurity technology and information transfer
Publication date: 13/04/2026
-
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19551091
To understand how cybersecurity ecosystems evolve across Europe, COcyber conducted four national case studies focusing on Lithuania, Spain, Hungary, and Slovenia.
The studies, brought together in a comparative booklet, examined:
Governance structures
Technology transfer
Information-sharing mechanisms
Dual-use cybersecurity potential
In this context, Hungary shows how cybersecurity technology and information transfer are shaped by a system where state coordination, legal frameworks, and defence priorities play a central role. The case also shows that progress depends on stronger links [...]
