COcyber’s second newsletter announces the hackathon proposed by COcyber to address phishing attacks using AI; this event, AI Cybersecurity Deephack, is organised online on April 24-26, 2025. Also, this edition announces the six ambassadors onboarded to the 1st batch of COcyber ambassadors programm,e as well as it shares the key results for the need analysis on how to bridge the gap between civilian and defence cyber security collaboration.

COcyber’s first newsletter edition, released in January 2024,  is dedicated to introducing the project and its initial activities, including the launch of the COcyber platform, the announcement of the ambassador programme, and the release of the needs assessment survey, which calls for input from European cybersecurity professionals. Additionally, it provides key updates from the European cybersecurity policy arena.

COcyber Cybersphere Insights – May 2025 From validating cooperation models for cybersecurity and civil-defence spheres to showcasing dual-use innovation on the European stage, COcyber is entering a phase of concrete outputs. This edition presents our upcoming consultation on best practices in civil-defence cybersecurity, results from the AI Cybersecurity Deephack, and our participation at @GITEX Europe 2025. It also includes selected cybersecurity news relevant to the wider digital ecosystem.

The COcyber project published this press release in March 2025 announcing their AI Cybersecurity deephack.  Phishing attacks are on the rise, targeting both civil society and defence sectors across Europe. To confront this challenge, COcyber is launching the AI Cybersecurity Deephack: Advancing European Defence Capabilities, an online event taking place from 24 to 26 April 2025.
